Our HISTORY

Wells Fargo Tower (also known as Norwest Tower and Robert Driscoll Hotel) is a 20-story high-rise office building located at 615 North Upper Broadway Street in the city of Corpus Christi, Texas, United States.[2] At the time of its completion in 1942, it was the tallest building in the city, and remained so for several decades. The building open on May 25, 1942, and it was built by Clara Driscoll and named after her father Robert Driscoll.

The Broadway Tower Overview

The 304,035-square-foot Broadway Tower at 615 N Upper Broadway Street in Corpus Christi, Texas, soars amongst a backdrop of the enticing Corpus Christi Bay, providing enticing views of the bay. The building’s wide-open, atrium-style lobby welcomes visitors and tenants with an attractive blend of polished marble floors and suspended acoustical tile ceilings. Measuring approximately 15,000 square feet, the floor plates are larger than the market average floor plate size in the Central Business District. The building’s design is well suited to accommodate partial floor tenancies and multiple floor users. The property offers common area amenities such as conference/meeting rooms, workout facilities, and on-site dining.

Broadway Tower recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation with more improvements on the way. Upgrades include six brand new elevators and elevator cabs, new flooring on the ground floor and basement levels, upgraded electric security entry doors in the main lobby, LED lighting in the bank lobby, and a brand new marquee directory. The Broadway Tower also upgraded its security console and implemented a new access system with 24-hour security cameras.

Situated at the corner of N Upper Broadway and Antelope Street, Broadway Tower is positioned on one of the highest-trafficked thoroughfares in the heart of the Corpus Christi Financial District. Tenants enjoy a short walk to the waterfront, only four blocks away, and they pass the city’s most sought-after destinations on their way to the bay. Within a 10-minute walk, professionals can treat clients to a business lunch at Executive Surf Club, Water Street Oyster Bar, or Café Calypso and then wrap up the night with a drink at one of the many chic cocktail bars and saloons dotting the area. Getting in and out of the office is a breeze, with near immediate access to US 181 and Interstate 37, providing a streamlined drive to Corpus Christi International Airport, plenty of desirable residential communities, and retail centers to knock out errands.
